Job Description:

Under general supervision, assist customers tier one issues or forward second tier support issues beyond their subject matter expertise. Work/communicate state employees, internal/external customers provide info & services targeted customer expectations.

**After initial training, this position will work 2nd shift- M-F 11:00 AM - 7:30 PM**
**Position has opportunity for contract to hire after 6 months if candidate performs well**
**Candidate must be able to pass polygraph test with DPS prior to full time offer**


Provides both phone based and hands-on computer hardware and software support to end users on a variety of issues. Identifies, researches, and resolves technical problems. Responds to telephone calls, email and personnel requests for technical support. Documents, tracks and monitors the problem to ensure a timely resolution. May require an associate's degree in a related area and/or 1-5 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the IT field. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.

Good hardware knowledge/troubleshooting on PC's, Laptops, and printers/copiers
Knowledge of Imaging software
Active Directory
Windows 7, 10
Remote software
VPN Software
SCCM
Office 360 knowledge
Must be able to lift 20-30lbs on a regular basis
 
* This position will initially start out on the first shift 8am - 4:30pm M-F, but there are possibilities that the candidate may work a 2nd shift 11am - 7:30pm M-F.  
** Position has an opportunity after six (6) months of contract employment to be offered as a permanent position with the Georgia Department of Public Safety.  **Candidate must be able to pass a full background investigation and polygraph with this state agency.**
